Wow!!! Another mad, crazy and very busy few weeks has just whizzed by. But boy oh boy, for the first time this year I really feel like I've achieved something positive for my business. And I feel so, so good about it!!
For the past few months I've been so, so busy with custom orders that I have not been concentrating on all the other aspects of my business. My head has been down, sewing machine on and I've been pumping the orders out like there was no tomorrow. Every now and then popping my head up to check the computer and add more orders to the list.
Once I had made the decision to put my customs on hold, I knew I had to be very proactive about my "to do" list. This is where I get a bit unstuck as I'm not the best person at prioritising. My to do list was enormous and at first my knees did go a bit wobbly looking at it!!
But I decided not to get disheartened and to just get on with the jobs that have been on the list the longest (we are talking years here!!) The majority of the tasks were computer based. I'm not very good on the computer and it really does take me twice as long as anyone else to do anything on there. So it was with trepidation that I reluctantly stopped the thing I find so easy and natural, "Arting" as my kids call it and pushed myself into a very uncomfortable place indeed. I sat behind the mean machine and gritted my teeth!
My "to do, must do" list (which has been in my head for an extremely long time) was.....
Set up my Etsy store
Re vamp my Madeit store
Design a website
Buy my domain name
Sort out a new system for tracking orders/payments
Work out how to use my scanning machine!!
Well I can tell you, there has been quite a few expletives screamed at the computer over the past few weeks and I'm not sure I would recommend you design your own website. But do you know what? I did it. Every single thing on the list well and truly ticked off, and I never ever say this, but I am so, so damn PROUD of myself :)
Here is my new website that I have slaved over. It's not the best by any standard, but it does the job!! Please visit it if you get a minute and let me know what you think. Cheers!

I'll leave you with this The One Ronnie kept me giggling throughout the whole ordeal.....
